NATMUS will be bringing the 1966 Dodge Charger from the David Pearson and Cotton Owens legacy for all to admire at the Brickyard 400.

Why is this 1966 Dodge Charger significant? It’s the 60^th Anniversary of the 1966 NASCAR Grand National Championship

• Won the 1966 NASCAR Grand National Championship with David Pearson and Cotton Owens.
• Pearson captured 15 victories during the championship season in this car.
• Built and race-prepared by the legendary Cotton Owens Garage.
• Powered by a 426 HEMI® NASCAR race engine producing over 650 horsepower.
• One of the first Dodge Chargers to compete in NASCAR’s inaugural Charger season.
• Its fastback design helped inspire the first factory rear spoiler on an American production car.
• Original championship car was retired after the 1966 season.
• This recreation uses authentic Cotton Owens parts and craftsmanship to preserve its championship legacy.
