New Parade of Progress Building: To house Futurliner  #10 Display, Support Vehicle, General Motors Period Cars and “Parade of Progress” Story

The star of the museum’s automotive collection is Futurliner #10, which was donated to NATM by Joe Bortz of the Bortz Auto Collection in Illinois..

Built by General Motors in 1939, along with 11 identical vehicles, it toured the country educating the populace on modern technology. It was restored by a group of volunteers, many being former General Motors employees, in Michigan over a seven year period.

The “Parade of Progress” building will house Futurliner #10, a support vehicle, General Motors automobiles of the period and tell the story of the amazing General Motors “Parade of Progress”.
