Built to Win: David Pearson & Cotton Owens Racing Heritage Display

Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of David Pearson’s first Grand National Champion win, the racing partnership between David Pearson and Cotton Owens, and the 27 NASCAR wins they acquired together between 1964-1967.

NATMUS is hosting the winning 1966 Dodge Charger, along with the 1964 Dodge Polara which were both instrumental in the win, as well as the undefeated 1937 Flathead Ford Coupe he raced in the vintage stock car class.

“Cars” Characters from Radiator Springs

Come out to see our pals from Radiator Springs: Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, and the Doc Hudson (the Hudson Hornet). Our friends are here until late Spring and have been a hit for all visitors young and old. We are thrilled to have these pals from the movie “Cars” in our museum for all to enjoy and admire.

Remember: kids under 5 are FREE! Bring your Cars-loving kids for an immersive and fun-filled visit!

1970 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car #1

We are excited to welcome the Indy 500 Pace Car #1 from 1970 to our museum floor. The official pace care was an Oldsmobile 442 convertible, highlighting the brand’s peak performance. Only 268 of these convertibles were built in the Porcelain White color.

Jay “Springer” Springsteen Exhibit

Calling all motorcycle and motocross enthusiasts! You won’t want to miss this display of 3 Jay “Springer” Springsteen Harley Davidson bikes on loan. Jay is a 3-time AMA Grand National Champion. Included in this display is his Harley Davidson MX250, which won him 2 of his 43 back-to-back wins at the Houston Astrodome. We are honored to have this display on loan!

Legends of NASCAR Exhibit

NATMUS is thrilled to have one of the Legends of NASCAR on display in our showroom. This car was generously loaned to the museum by their magnificent owner. Browse history of the vehicles and plan your trip to see them in person.

1969 Talladega #98 Race Car

This Talladega is on an original Holman & Moody chassis that is believed to have run as the #115 Stropped Motorsports Fairlane in 1967. It won the Riverside 500 in 67 with International Motorsports Hall of Famer Parnelli Jones at the helm.

It has been reskinned displaying the #98 yellow paint that Benny Parsons ran.
