What are your hours?
NATMUS is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Where is NATMUS located?
The museum is located at 1000 Gordon M. Buehrig Place, Auburn, Indiana, in a historic former Auburn Automobile Company factory building.
How much does admission cost?
Adults: $12
Children (5-12): $7
Under 5: FREE
Tickets are available for purchase at the door. They are not available for pre-purchase online.
You can also purchase a campus pass to visit both NATMUS and the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum for a discount rate:
Adults: $25
Children (5-12): $15
Under 5: FREE
Family: $60
Groups: $20 (per person, minimum 10)
How long does it take to visit the museum?
Most visitors spend 1–2 hours exploring both levels of the museum, depending on interest level and whether they take a guided tour.
Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available onsitefor museum visitors.
Is the museum wheelchair accessible?
Yes, NATMUS is wheelchair accessible. An elevator is also available for visitors to travel between both floors of the museum.
Are there restrooms and seating available?
Yes, restrooms are available onsite. Benches and chairs are throughout the museum for those who need a break during their visit.
Is photography allowed inside the museum?
Yes! This is a great place to capture classic and historic vehicles, neon, petroliana, and more.
Is NATMUS kid-friendly?
Yes! NATMUS is very family-friendly with themed exhibits, Hot Wheels tracks for a racing experiences, and a stuffy hunt to keep kids interested.
Do you have a gift shop?
Yes! Visitors can shop in the “Roadside Market” for automotive-themed merchandise and souvenirs onsite.

Collection & Experience FAQs
Can you touch the cars at NATMUS?
We ask that you not touch the vehicles on display. However, we provide a very up-close experience compared to traditional museums. Visitors and welcome to get up close, and select exhibits or special events may allowed limited interaction.
Can you sit in any of the cars?
In general, vehicles are not open for sitting. However, certain vehicles may be available for kids to sit in and experience. Please ask a staff member onsite.
What types of vehicles are on display?
NATMUS features hundreds of historic cars, trucks, racing vehicles, and unique exhibits including the famous GM Futurliner #10.
What is the GM Futurliner?
The GM Futurliner #10 is a rare, restored vehicles from General Motors’ “Parade of Progress” and a highlight of the museum. Only 12 were ever made and we are proud of have one. Learn more here.
Are exhibits permanent or rotating?
While we have many permanent exhibits, we also have rotating exhibits so there’s often something new to see with each visit.
Do you offer group or private tours?
Yes, but you must call ahead. Please inquire with our staff by calling 260-925-9100.
