NATMUS looks to future generations to preserve its heritage, so we have created a program to involve local youth in the museum.

What started with 1-2 kids, has grown into a program with increasing popularity known as our Wednesday Youth Education Program. Our youth get hands-on experience working on vehicle restoration, while also having fun and learning life skills.

About the Youth Education Program

NATMUS provides an immersive experience for youth aged 14+  that focuses on mechanical skills and museum upkeep.

Each youth member that joins the program is assigned a mentor and rotates through different types of projects, leading to hands-on experience in every aspect of the museum operations. It’s a real-life model for learning.

We offer an alternative way for kids to learn a whole new skill set that is going to be very valuable to them.

See the projects this group works on weekly in our Restoration Shop.
